Ethnosemantics

In this research project ethnosemantics is being exercised. Ethnosemantics is a claim of how people relate concepts to each other threw an investigation of foundations of companionship and understanding. Usually this technique is situated use in a face to face conversations, in a written discourse and talking to unrivalledself. In this research technique I map the ways that my speaker categorizes something by the meanings of the words in their mental lexicon associated with that aspect. I selected my boyfriend who is an all American and did the following exercises on horror films. The reason wherefore I chose this category is because I was a ware he has a horror film collection, which I concluded he is a horror film strike out that can give me a list of horror movies and why set in such categories. I thought he was the perfect candidate to project this project for the rest of American culture
As we got started my informant gave me 20 names of horror films which were The wolfman, alien, the thing, predator, the watcher, war of the worlds, nightmare on Elm street, the birds, jaws, Amityville horror, from hell, exorcist , end of days, put over of the dead, van helsing, under world, vampire hunter d, interview with a vampire, the howling, American werewolf in London.




After my informant was through with(p) with his listings of movies I asked him to put these names into 2 or much categories and not to hesitate if it stands alone and also asked them to put them into calve piles and also asked why were the piles different from one another?
